Issue No. 8 - May 2007 |

Dear Members,
As we kick off this season, we have been glad to hear your positive feedback and are very happy at the positive increase in arrivals as our statistics and Petra survey shows. It’s been a busy beginning of what we hope to be a fruitful year for the tourism industry as a whole. We have been pleased with the interest in Jordan from the different markets and this has been very evident during our participation in the different shows..
JTB has been gearing up for the past month in preparation for the summer season and the arrivals from the Arab market which constitutes a high percentage of total arrivals making it our most important market. We have developed a new 30 second TV commercial as well as three 10 second ads which will run on several pan Arab channels starting from 28th April until end of June. This will also be accompanied by a print campaign in select weekly magazines as well as several daily pan Arab publications. Directives to facilitate border formalities have been put in place to ensure swift and easy entry for our visitors from the Gulf. We have also arranged to distribute a selection of promotional material on all planned summer activities in Jordan.
Wishing you all a wonderful spring season, and if you should need any further inforamtion on any of our activities please do not hesitate to ask me.
Sincerely yours,
Editor
